Professional piercers choose single-use, sterilized needles because they are safer, more precise, and gentler on your body. Needles create a clean opening in the tissue, which promotes faster healing and reduces trauma. Piercing guns, on the other hand, use blunt force to push jewelry through, which can cause unnecessary tissue damage and increase the risk of infection. Additionally, piercing guns cannot be fully sterilized between uses, making them less hygienic. Needles are disposed of after each use, ensuring maximum hygiene and safety.
While we always strive to make the piercing experience as comfortable as possible, we do not use or recommend any numbing creams before or during a piercing, especially for children. These creams can alter how the skin and tissue naturally sit, which can negatively impact the piercing’s placement, healing, and overall success.
We offer tandem piercing services for children ages 4 to 12. For younger children, tandem piercings aren’t available because it’s harder to keep them still with two piercers working at the same time. Our service fee is non-refundable, but we understand that kids can change their minds! We’re happy to reschedule your appointment for a time when your child feels ready.
For your safety, we only pierce with jewelry that is internally threaded and meets APP implant-grade standards. We do not work with outside jewelry unless it meets these requirements. If you’d like to use your own jewelry, you must bring it to the studio at least seven days before your appointment for inspection. If approved, we will then sterilize it for use. This policy helps protect you from low-quality or unsafe materials and gives your piercing the best chance to heal properly. We take jewelry quality seriously, every piece we use is carefully chosen to meet our strict safety standards.
For children ages 0–12, we require the government-issued birth certificate and a valid photo ID from the legal guardian (driver’s license, state ID, or passport). For minors ages 13–17, we require the birth certificate, a valid ID for the minor (state ID, passport, or school ID), and a valid photo ID from the legal guardian.
If the legal guardian’s name does not appear on the minor’s birth certificate, we also require court documents proving legal guardianship.
Please note, we do not accept military IDs, Mexican INE IDs, Social Security cards, or expired IDs.
